Goblins are typically small creatures “ascribed various and conflicting abilities, temperaments and appearances” throughout different mythologies. They tend to be purposefully mischievous or naturally chaotic, and they like things. Myths can call them greedy and gold-obsessed, but what it really boils down to is a sort of hyper-fascination with certain objects or types of objects. Goblins collect and appreciate the unconventional, less romanticized things in life– mostly out in nature, but it can be anything, really. They’re pretty grungy and not very concerned with fitting into any molds. A goblin might not have a concept of gender, or they might have 20 genders they found at various garage sales.

We’re a blog, a shop, and a social media brand that want to bring the world’s goblins together so they know they’re not alone. The name is a vague pun on the word “homebody,” cuz I’m just a friendly neighborhood shut-in looking to improve life here in my cave.

Going Goblin isn’t a “Mode;” it’s a Lifestyle.

I’m a multi-medium artist and I peddle my wares to support myself and my family and my 3 cats. I needle felt, stamp metal, string pony beads, play with resin, and practice calligraphy. My art tends to be weird, crass, queer, and one-of-a-kind. I like to think there’s a little bit of something for everyone in the Homegobby Shoppy.

I create content based on my experiences and fascinations. I’m an agender, neurodivergent, brown-skinned caregiver with an eclectic collection of hobbies and skills. Armed with weirdly fine motor skills many years of writing experience, I’m trying to be entertaining, helpful, and relatable to anyone who’s interested (even if they don’t actually identify as a goblin).
